Whipped Feta with Spicy Chorizo
Dips are a great way to add extra flavour to a mezze meal or a table full of nibbles.
With this recipe, you get to add some texture and tons of flavour to a whipped feta dip with cubes of crisp, spicy chorizo.
Dig in with toasted flatbreads – or invest in some posh crisps that will firmly hold the dip!
Serves 4 | Time: 20 minutes | Difficulty: Easy
Ingredients
- 1 pack YAMAS! Greek Feta
- 3 tbsp Greek yogurt
- 1/2 lemon juiced
- or
- 1 pack YAMAS! whipped feta
- For the topping:
- 100g spicy chorizo, diced
- A few sprigs of parsley, chopped
- Flatbreads, to serve
Method
- If you are making your own whipped feta, put most of the feta into a food processor, saving a little to garnish.
- Add the Greek yogurt and lemon juice to the feta and then blend, adding some extra Greek yogurt if it is too thick. (We like it quite smooth, but you can leave it with a bit of texture if you prefer.)
- If you’re using our YAMAS! Whipped Feta, then simply pop open the lid!
- Put the chorizo into a small frying pan over a low heat. Cook until some of the oil has rendered from the chorizo and it begins to crisp. Remove from the heat and leave to cool slightly in the pan.
- Spoon the whipped feta into a bowl or serving tray, creating a well in the centre.
- Fill the well with the crispy chorizo and then drizzle over the chorizo oil.
- Crumble over the remaining feta and finish with the chopped parsley.
- Dive into this dish with warm flatbreads – yum!
Make more of your dips with the warm, smoky flavour of chorizo!
