Honey, Lemon and Thyme Baked Feta
This dish has a wonderful balance of ingredients, from the earthy thyme to the sweet honey and the zing of lemon juice – not forgetting the all-important tangy feta.
If you present it in individual baking dishes, this recipe makes a great impact when served up and would be perfect as a starter or special lunch.
Serves 2 | Time: 25 minutes | Difficulty: Easy
Ingredients
- 1 block of YAMAS! Feta
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 1-2 tbsp olive oil
- 1-2 tbsp honey
- 2 garlic cloves, sliced
- A few sprigs of thyme, leaves picked
- Toasted flatbread to serve
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Cut the feta so it will fit as one piece into individual oven-proof dishes.
- Put a small drizzle of oil into the base of your dishes and place your feta into them.
- Scatter the garlic and thyme leaves over the feta, and then drizzle with a little more oil and lemon juice.
- Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until starting to go soft and slightly golden on top.
- Now it’s time to drizzle them with the honey and return to the oven for another 5 minutes.
- Serve with some toasted flatbreads to dunk into the feta. Mouthwatering!
